I agree with envrmnt on this. I would probably suggest in sticking to the same font but make it more complex, such as instead of using a symbol, maybe do a logo or a word, you would also need to do something with the font to make it more appealing, do some effects on it, such as break ups, overlapping, etc.

yea this is basically what I was going to say. and don't forgot about the bg as well, a good typo always needs a decent bg to try it all together..its a good start tho, you just need to take it farther..

It looks nice "aesthetically", but really you've put no consideration into small details that make a great typography piece, such as kerning, tracking, and leading.

Sorry if I have come off a little harsh, but what I've said are the things that you have to consider if you wish to go further in typography.
