If you have read our news for the latest exhibition release, at the end of it we said about a couple of new things that are coming to digital flow. One of them was a new layout to our pages, though this does not mean a new design for digital flow. I have been working on a new layout for the first page only, and we have come up with a final look. Please note that this demo does not include any PHP, and most of the links will not work. So first off, let me give you the link to the demo. Digital Flow v2.3 Demo As you can see, from first look, it's the layout is almost entirely different. Here is what we have changed. - Kept the horizontal user bar, took off the user area in the side bar. - The latest exhibition has completely changed, our exhibition image is bigger in width, but smaller in height. - Our featured artist has a lot bigger section, we will not also be limited to how much characters we can use in our short description. - You can see all the featured submissions, instead of one at a time using javascript. - Submissions are shown completely different, something I didn't want to do but had to, due to some submissions having long names, it's using a table, so we won't ever have any problems displaying submissions, it's also more spaced out and presented easier. - Our twitter is shown on the site. - We will be showing our most recent news post fully, and all other previous will be shown with a title only. - We have kept our previous exhibitions, but taken off the latest forum topics. - Our partners now have a place on the site, fitted in perfectly with the design and layout. - New menu on the footer, as well as a new copyright. What do you think? Let us know what you think of the look? Is it convenient? Better than our current? We want to know what you would suggest, being you are the ones that need to navigate through the site. Regards, David Ambler Creative Director & Administrator --- ![]() DigitalFlow Webmaster |

In Safari, perfect. Only the Exhibitions zone, at the top, don't have the 'separator image', the 'lines' xD Home (line) Exhibition (line) blah (line) That image never charge. |

loving the image viewer. i however think a better font type on the next and previous could be essential. Apart from that, looking at the artist page, you seem to have forgotten Mostafa Nassar > 3abden, in the active artists list (apart from being on the left side as a CD) --- Founder of DF Online Portfolio |

Remember, it's not a definate final look, though sos-k and marx will be taken off the active artists list. They'll only be shown in our special duper super staff section on the left. --- ![]() DigitalFlow Webmaster |

exhibition page is visually confusing ... at least it is to me, let me try to point that out ... on the left you have the navigation and on the right side the content, both of them have the same layout ( slight gradient, outline etc) but are not on the same height(division bars with texts are not aligning), which makes the layout look unbalanced and without a clear focus, slightly darker colors for the content might fix that, making that change for the whole page(maybe site?) would imo make a clear division between navi and content and by that make the content more interesting, since it has a different look to it and stands out more, just like it should. i mean, we are not focussing on the navigation with our group, we focus on the art and the artist, aren't we ? =) |
