Hey guys, I'm Felix, but if you want you can call me Felix. I make myself LOL.

I hail from the sunny side of Auckland, New Zealand, where it is nice all year around. I mainly do photography, occasionally branching into Digital Art. In my family, I was encouraged to do art from a young age, first with pencil and paper, now with camera and computer.

Interests
Photography, I have been doing that for a year and a half.

Digital Art, a year. I use GIMP, but am trying to make the leap to Photoshop. Also, Im trying to get more into 3D and resource making, so don't be surprised if sometime you see resources up by me.

Experience & Inspiration
I come from an artistically inclined family. My mother taught me how to look at things in an artistic way - "A bowl of fruit is not just a bowl of fruit. It is also whatever else you want it to be." My dad clued me up on style.

From a young age I drew, not very good and now I photography and digitally create, experimenting all the time, so I can make unique and interesting things.

Experimentation is what makes an artist I think. I think that the work may suck, but if it is experimental, exploring different and new techniques then it deserves its place in the world of art.

I draw my inspiration from books, film, art and music. Occasionally I'll be listening to a song, and I'll hear a line and think "Hey, that would really work as a piece of art, I could do it like this..." and so on, one song I constantly get it from is 'The Island' by The Decemberists. Books, I love illustrating or drawing or photographing a scene, one big inspiration to me all the time is The 'Tempest' by William Shakespeare. Maybe I have a fetish for islands and magical places...
